1890s Four Diamond Ring, ~0.50ctw Old European and Old Mine Cut Diamonds, 10K Gold, $1095
One of my favorite recent ring finds. It’s not unlike rings we’ve had before, but it’s an unusual assortment of diamonds— none of which are exactly the same cut, color, or size. It’s a very pretty effect, and a good example of how jeweler’s back in the day didn’t necessarily have the benefit of being able to order up four calibrated stones.
